Terms of Service

1. Agreement to These Terms

By creating an account or using MultiMediaPlug (“we,” “us,” or “the Platform”), you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform. These terms apply to all visitors, registered users, bookers, and providers.

2. What MultiMediaPlug Is

MultiMediaPlug is an online marketplace that connects media production professionals across three verticals:

  • Crew — freelance media professionals (cinematographers, gaffers, sound mixers, etc.)
  • Equipment — cameras, lighting, grip, audio, and other production gear for rent
  • Locations — properties and venues available for filming and production

MultiMediaPlug is a marketplace platform only. We are not a party to the agreements between Bookers and Providers, and we do not employ, direct, or control any Provider. Providers are independent contractors or property owners, not employees or agents of MultiMediaPlug.

3. Accounts and Eligibility

To use most features of the Platform, you must register for an account. You agree to:

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Provide accurate and complete information when registering
  • Maintain the security of your password and accept responsibility for all activity under your account
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

Users may hold both a Booker role (to book services) and a Provider role (to offer services) on the same account. A mode toggle controls which context is active at any given time.

4. Providers: Listings and Services

If you list services, equipment, or a property on MultiMediaPlug, you agree that:

  • All information in your listing is accurate and up to date
  • You have the legal right to offer the services, equipment, or property described
  • You will honor confirmed and paid bookings
  • For crew services: you are an independent contractor, not an employee of MultiMediaPlug or the Booker
  • For equipment: you own or have authority to rent the items listed, and the equipment is in the condition described
  • For locations: you own or have authority to license the property for the use described, and the property complies with all applicable laws and zoning regulations
  • You are responsible for all applicable taxes on your earnings
  • You may be required to provide a valid Certificate of Insurance (COI) for certain bookings

Provider cancellations are tracked on your public profile. Repeated cancellations may result in listing removal or account suspension.

5. Bookings

Bookings are daily (not hourly). A booking request is not confirmed until the Provider accepts it. A confirmed booking becomes a binding agreement between Booker and Provider, subject to these Terms and the applicable cancellation policy.

Self-booking is prohibited. You may not book your own listings.

Contact information (phone numbers, email addresses) shared in messages is automatically redacted until a booking is confirmed and payment has been made. This protects both parties and the integrity of the platform.

You agree not to attempt to circumvent the platform by sharing contact information before it is unlocked, or by transacting with the other party outside the platform following an introduction made through MultiMediaPlug.

6. Fees and Payments

MultiMediaPlug charges fees on both sides of a transaction:

  • Booker service fee — added to the booking total at checkout
  • Provider platform fee — deducted from the provider's payout

Fee percentages are displayed at the time of booking and are subject to change with notice. Current fee rates are always shown before you confirm a booking or accept a payment.

Payments are processed by Stripe. By using the payment features, you agree to Stripe's Terms of Service. MultiMediaPlug does not store your full card details.

Crew bookings use a milestone payment schedule (minimum 25% due on acceptance, with the remainder in agreed installments). Equipment rentals require 100% payment no later than 24 hours before pickup. Location bookings follow the payment schedule displayed at checkout.

Providers must complete Stripe Connect onboarding to receive payouts. Funds are disbursed to your Stripe Express account after booking completion, subject to Stripe's payout schedule (typically 2–5 business days).

7. Cancellation Policies

Cancellation refund amounts depend on when the cancellation occurs relative to the booking start, and vary by vertical. The full details are at Cancellation Policies. A summary:

  • Crew — cancellations within 48 hours of call time are subject to a kill fee (1–5 day rates depending on booking length). Cancellations made earlier receive a full refund.
  • Equipment — tiered refunds based on proximity to the 8:00 AM pickup time on the start date. A 24-hour grace period applies from acceptance.
  • Locations — tiered refunds based on proximity to the 8:00 AM start time. A 24-hour grace period applies from acceptance.

Provider cancellations always result in a full refund to the Booker.

8. Equipment Deposits and Damage

Equipment listings may require a security deposit, which is held as a payment authorization. The deposit is not charged unless damage is confirmed during the 48-hour inspection window after equipment return. If the equipment owner reports damage, MultiMediaPlug facilitates the dispute process but is not liable for damage outcomes.

Renters are responsible for the equipment during the rental period and must return it in the same condition it was received.

9. Reviews and Ratings

After a booking is completed, both parties may leave a review. Reviews are subject to a 14-day window. Reviews must be honest, first-hand, and based on the actual booking experience. We prohibit:

  • False or misleading reviews
  • Reviews in exchange for compensation
  • Threatening, harassing, or defamatory content

MultiMediaPlug reserves the right to remove reviews that violate these guidelines. Ratings affect search ranking and trust on the platform.

10. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Post false, misleading, or fraudulent listings or profile information
  • Circumvent the platform by taking transactions off-platform after meeting through MultiMediaPlug
  • Attempt to share contact information through messages before it is unlocked
  • Harass, threaten, or discriminate against other users
  • Create duplicate accounts after suspension or ban
  • Use the Platform to facilitate any unlawful activity
  • Scrape, crawl, or use automated means to access the Platform
  • Interfere with the proper functioning of the Platform

Users may flag listings, profiles, or messages that violate these rules. MultiMediaPlug reviews flags and may remove content, suspend, or permanently ban accounts that violate these Terms.

11. Disputes Between Users

If a dispute arises between a Booker and Provider, either party may file a dispute within 48 hours of booking completion. MultiMediaPlug will review the dispute and may facilitate a resolution, but we are not obligated to do so and our decision on disputes is final.

MultiMediaPlug is not liable for the actions or omissions of any user, including damages arising from bookings, cancellations, equipment damage, or location issues.

12. Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of content you submit to the Platform (photos, listing descriptions, portfolio items). By posting content, you grant MultiMediaPlug a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, display, and reproduce that content to operate and promote the Platform.

MultiMediaPlug and its logo, design, and branding are the property of MultiMediaPlug. You may not use them without written permission.

13. Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time from your profile settings. A 30-day cooling-off period applies before deletion is final, during which you may cancel the request. Active bookings must be resolved before deletion can proceed.

MultiMediaPlug may suspend or terminate accounts for violations of these Terms, at our discretion, with or without prior notice. Certain financial records are retained for legal and tax compliance purposes even after account deletion.

14. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Platform is provided “as is” and “as available.” MultiMediaPlug makes no warranties, express or implied, regarding the quality, accuracy, safety, or reliability of any listing, user, service, or equipment on the Platform. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.

15. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, MultiMediaPlug shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Platform, including damages from bookings, cancellations, equipment damage, or disputes between users. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from use of the Platform shall not exceed the total fees paid by you to MultiMediaPlug in the 12 months preceding the claim.

16. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration rather than in court, except where prohibited by law. You waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration.

17. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by a notice on the Platform. Continued use of the Platform after the effective date of changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
